Fetching Fall Foliage- Colorado's Colorful Views

It's been said that nothing compares to fall in the East and maybe they're right. The deep reds and beautiful burnt oranges dancing in an autumn crisp breeze are probably  a sight to be seen. But here in Colorado, we didn't claim the name "colorful" for no apparent reason.  We boast some of the country's most breathtaking and sought after views when it comes to the classic colors of the colder season. Drive up to the high country or pack a picnic for Denver's expansive 4,000 acres of city park space and you'll quickly see the iconic tones of fall within the Centennial state.
Today we welcome this season change and explore areas in Colorado that are home to some of the most beautiful calumniation of citrus sceneries.

Highway 24- Looking for an easy drive that is near a number of major resort towns and communities? Highway 24 is just outside of Vail and can be navigated up to the wild west's historic mining city, Leadville. While on this path the overwhelming number of aspen groves will keep your speedometer at a very low pace, you won't want to keep your eyes on the road. Take time to pull over and view vast valleys of leafy gold. Jump to CO-91 and you will direct yourself back to Frisco where fall foliage is predicted to be greater this year than ever!

Golden Gate State Park- If you only have a day to take in the confetti of colors, travel up the road to some of Colorado's fabulous foothills. This park offers a number of hiking trails with variety of difficulty levels. This is the perfect option for families who are trying to soak up the final moments of exploring the great outdoors. The scenery is breathtaking and it's conveniently located- a perfect pair!

City Park- Nothing compares to the iconic view of downtown Denver from the Nature and Science Museum at the base of City Park.  This sight holds even more magnitude when it comes to the awesome colors of autumn. Take a lunch break today at the park and soak up the beginning specs of fall that are beginning to unfold.

The rain fall during the month of September has pushed back the date of fall foliage to last. Plan a trip for this week and you will be sure to get in all the beauty our incredible state has to offer.

Please note that I am a Colorado native and my opinion is biased.... but I can't help it. I live in the most magical place!
