Binge-Worthy TV is Back

Although your resolutions may be in place, I give you full permission to binge on this season’s television line-up. Here is a heaping scoop of TV spoilers and that are sure to satisfy those New Year cravings. Trust us, this winter’s shows are going to be drool-worthy!

The Last Laugh

This season we say farewell to our dear friends in Pawnee, Indiana. The final season of Parks and Recreation will air on Tuesday, January 13th. The series will pick where the finale ended, fast forwarding audiences three years into the future.  We are not quite sure what the year 2017 will have in store for the corky cast, but we do know there are sure to be loads of laughs. In a recent trailer it was revealed that Andy (Chris Pratt) will be the host of his very own karate show. The hilarity continues as Garry (Jim O’Heir), who we all know as Jerry, changes his name to Terry. We are also eager with anticipation to see Leslie (Amy Poehler) in a role unlike any she taken on before, motherhood. Saying good-bye won’t be easy, but we are excited for familiar faces and storylines to reappear for the ending of this epic comedy. We’ll see you at City Hall!

Did Someone Say TGIT?

If you are an avid follower of Grey’s Anatomy you know that the relationship with this program is a rollercoaster of emotions. This winter’s premier promises to once again take viewers on a wild ride. Let’s get to it. We are all wondering, what is going to happen to Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April’s (Sarah Drew) baby? There has been endless foreshadowing that something devastating is in-store for the newly wed couple. Fingers crossed they stick together during the taxing time. Another relationship that has us on the edge of our seat is Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek ( Patrick Dempsey). Will Dr. McDreamy actually leave his wife and family to work for the president across the country? Only time will tell.

Once again the question is present, “Where is Olivia Pope?” In the mid-season finale Olivia (Kerry Washiongton) completely disappears from her apartment while Jake (Scott Foley) is in the other room. It is unknown at this point where she has gone or who has taken her, but we can predict that she is certainly in danger. Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) will feel the added stress, nearly pushing him to the edge. Will he and Jake inevitably team up to save their girl? This love triangle is about to get even more complicated. We can’t wait.

How to Get Away With Murder has certainly lived up its hype. The gritty drama is jam packed with murder and mystery. It is endless entertainment. The character of Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) is intelligent and hauntingly dark. We were stunned at the flash back of Sam’s death when Annalise reassures Wes (Alfred Enoch) not to be sorry about the murder of her husband. What could the mastermind creator Shonda Rhimes throw at us next? We are not sure. But we do impatiently wait to see how the students, now criminals, handle this corruption and status.

All TGIT shows will premier Thursday, January 29th.

Already Hearing Sweet Treats

Though it may be a little bit down the road, Voice fans can rejoice in knowing that Season 8 will premier on February 23rd. Sultry and stylish Christina Agulara will be back, taking contestants to their ultimate high notes.  Fans can look forward to the back forth banter between coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine; it is a staple to the series. Also, more insightful and empowering notions are sure to be posed from the one and only, Pharrell Williams.  With coaches being savvier than ever, it is certain that this season’s competition will be stiff. As always, we are eager for the showcase of America’s top singing talents.

We can't wait to dig in!
