Healthy summer habits are hard, or at least they are for me. Aside from the fact that I hate being inside of a gym while the sun's shining, I also like to barbecue and drink on patios. Being healthy in the summer is a little bit of a challenge, however, this Tuesday's Top 10 is dedicated to kicking these bad habits and incorporating some healthy elements to everyday!
1. Water- And lots of it with a hint of lemon!
2. Avocados- So yummy this time of year and also great for belly fat.
3. Push-ups- At least 10 every morning.
4. Outdoor workouts-For me it's the local park down the street from my house. I run to it, around it, and back home. The trip is only 2.5 miles round trip, but I break up the run by stopping at each park bunch to either do an arm, ab, or leg work out such as lunges or arm dips.
5. Vitamin D- Get in that sunshine...it'll make you happy.
6. Wear sunblock- Piggy-backing off #5...make sure to protect your skin (especially your face).
7. Grilled veggies- Even if you love to barbecue, fire up the grill and choose a healthy option.
8. Candle lit yoga- This doesn't take away from sunshine hours and is great for soothing the soul.
9. Sleep- it's easy to want to stay up all night since it's warmer out now, but get those z's.
10. Relax- Enjoy this awesome season and don't get bogged down at a desk or in a studio. Enjoy everything summer has to offer- that's the healthiest habit yet!
