January is almost over and I have yet to share all of the crafts I did over the holiday season! Where did this month go? It's time to share the goods.
Paper clip earrings- yes, paper clips.
I won't bore you the details of how to complete this task (click on the link if you need tutorial). But I will give you a hint, get yarn that is very thin. I made the mistake of getting a cheaper, thicker brand and was not completely happy with the outcome. My next round ended much better and over all I had an enjoyable experience. Keep the yarn tight and wrap it as much as possible to ensure none of the paper clip shows!
Spoon Ornaments
While my paint job ended up being a little more elementary, this is one of my most favorite crafts ever. Maybe it's because I got to thrift, maybe it's because I love spoons. Whatever the case might be, these Christmas spoons ended up being my highlight of the season.
If you don't have a plethora of old spoons lying around than you are not alone. I went to Goodwill and bought fifteen old spoons for a whopping $1.15. The rest is pretty easy to come up with-Acrylic paint, wire, ribbon, buttons, and jingle bells. The last thing you need is a little creativity! Don't worry if all you can slap on the spoon a messy snowflake, I promise it will still look cute!
