I was first motivated to create a blog after stumbling upon a young woman’s birthday list of lessons learned in correlation to the years of her life. Keeping with the trend I want to dedicate this post to anyone who has ever been deeply inspired.
This list, though not ground breaking, is the very essence of who I am. I feel so grateful to have experienced and learned so many things along the way. I can’t wait to discover more.
1. Patience is a skill that all should try to acquire.
2. Cookies, any kind, always taste better with milk.
3. Hard work, though hard, actually pays off.
4. Find a happy place, somewhere you are at peace, and visit it often.
5. Remember to believe in second chances.
6. Sing along with the radio, it usually makes everything better.
7. Always stand up for yourself.
8. Accept that not everyone is going to like you and let it go.
9. Accept that you are not going to like everyone and let it go.
10. When you’re in love, Sunday is the best day of the week.
11. For the ambitious, life never slows down. Learn to juggle.
12. It’s important to let loose and do it often.
13. Find a job you love enough to do for free…but get paid to do it.
14. Know that relationships circulate around the “give and take” concept.
15. Be polite.
16. Keep in touch with the people who matter.
17. Learn to take a compliment.
18. You have one body, love it or hate it, it’s yours forever.
19. There are no mistakes, just lessons. This is a process of trial and error.
20. Love makes you stupid, and that’s ok.
21. Complain less, change more. Worry less, smile more.
